Professional Experience

Kim is widely regarded as a premier estate planning attorney. Her steadfast dedication to her clients is reflected in her extensive experience designing estate plans for complex family situations and assets, with particular attention to the mitigation or elimination of the associated taxes. She represents trustees and beneficiaries as to the administration of trusts and consults with litigation attorneys in complex trust and probate litigation matters as to the substance of the matter and the income and transfer tax consequences of potential outcomes. Kim prepares estate and gift tax returns.

Education and Memberships

Kim earned her Juris Doctorate from University of California College of Law, San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of Law) in 1976. In addition to maintaining an active California CPA license, she is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, a member of the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPAs, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Sonoma County Bar Association. Kim has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer continually since 2005.

Kim is a frequent lecturer and author on tax-related topics as well as the editor of two chapters on the generation-skipping transfer tax for CEB publications.
