Experience

The State Bar of California has certified Mr. Manwell as a Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law. Mr. Manwell is an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated attorney*. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame (Cum Laude) in 1971. Following that, he worked for two years in the lumber mills of Northern California before attending and graduating from law school at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 1976. He was admitted to the California Bar in December of 1976. Prior to joining to Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz in 2004, he had over 25 years litigation experience, representing clients in the family law, business, real estate and estate settlement areas. He represented numerous clients in trials and arbitrations throughout the North Coast and in the Federal District Court in San Francisco.

Representative Clients

Mr. Manwell has represented private individuals and businesses along the North Coast for nearly 3 decades, including the Oakmont Village Association, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Rosa, Forestville Water District, Camp Meeker Recreation & Parks District, TRI Development, LLC and the Prison University Project, Inc. He has handled transactional matters in the past for such entitles as the Mendocino County Community Services District and the Redwood Credit Union.

Education

Mr. Manwell graduated from the University of Notre Dame (Cum Laude) in 1971. Community Involvement

Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire, Past President of the Santa Rosa Active 20-30 Club (#50), Board of Directors of the Sonoma County Bar Association, Co-Editor of The Sonoma County Bar Journal, Big Brothers volunteer, donor, Blood Bank of the Redwoods, instructor at Sonoma State University, Rincon Valley Youth Soccer Coach for more than a decade, and general counsel for the Prison University Project, Inc.
