Mr. Wheeldin was a staff attorney in the Office of Area Counsel,
U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development 1979 - 1980. He was in private practice from
1980 - 1989 and was a partner with the firm Cantor, Barrett & Wheeldin.
Mr. Wheeldin is fluent in Spanish.
Community Involvement:
Mr. Wheeldin is currently a member of the Executive Board of
100 Black Men of Sonoma County (past president); Judge, Sonoma
County Teen Court; formerly a member of the Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce and formerly a member of Distribution Committee,
Community Foundation of Sonoma County.
Mr. Wheeldin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and American studies in 1971 from Wesleyan University. He received a Juris Doctorate from University of California at Los Angeles in 1978. Mr. Wheeldin attended Hastings College of Law Advocacy Program. He is admitted to practice in California and the United States District for the Northern District of California. Mr. Wheeldin has taught Civil Procedure at Empire College, Santa Rosa, for more than ten years. He has also taught at Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University.
