Experience:
Ms. Schaeffer joined Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz,
in January 2006, after relocating to California from the state
of Arizona. While in Arizona, Ms. Schaeffer worked as a law
clerk and later an associate for Hochuli & Benavidez,
P.C., where she practiced in a variety of areas, including
criminal law, family law, estate planning, municipal law, and
civil litigation. During her third year of law school, Ms.
Schaeffer was named as an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers
Family Law Scholarship Recipient.
Community Involvement:
Ms. Schaeffer is a member of the Board of Directors of
LifeWorks, a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive
services to promote healthy emotional development of children
and families throughout Sonoma County. Additionally,
Ms. Schaeffer currently serves as a Teen Court Judge with Routes
for Youth in Sonoma County. Previously, Ms. Schaeffer served
as a student coordinator and later an attorney supervisor for
the Volunteer Lawyers Program. In that capacity, she assisted
countless pro per clients in the areas of bankruptcy and domestic
relations. In recognition of her efforts, Ms. Schaeffer was
awarded the Andrew Silverman Second Year Law Student Community
Service Award.
Education and Memberships:
Ms. Schaeffer received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and English from
Johns Hopkins University in 2000, and a Juris Doctorate from the University
of Arizona College of Law in 2005. Ms. Schaeffer grew up in Denver, Colorado,
and graduated as valedictorian of Thornton High School in 1996.
