Joshua A. Myers
Area of Practice:
Mr. Myers practices in all areas of civil
litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, employment
law, business
law and real
estate disputes.
Mr. Myers joined Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz, in June 2007 after practicing for four years in New Mexico and Texas. Most recently, Mr. Myers practiced with Hubert & Hernandez, P.A., a Las Cruces, New Mexico, law firm. While there, Mr. Myers represented individuals in family law, personal injury and natural resources litigation and the Elephant Butte Irrigation District, a federal reclamation project. Mr. Myers is conversationally fluent in Spanish and represented many Spanish-only speakers in New Mexico. After law school, Mr. Myers was employed as a law clerk to the Honorable (then) Chief Justice Petra Jimenez Maes on the Supreme Court of New Mexico for two years before entering private practice.
Education and Membership:
Mr. Myers was raised in Sebastopol and graduated from Analy High School. He received a bachelors of arts degree in the Humanities and Spanish, with departmental honors, from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, in 1999. After graduation, Mr. Myers attended a dual degree graduate program at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. In 2003, he received a Masters of Arts in Latin American Studies and a Juris Doctor from the School of Law, with thesis honors. During law school, Mr. Myers served as the managing editor of the United States-Mexico Law Review, and received an endowed writing award and a certificate of excellence in the study of international law. Mr. Myers is a member of the California, New Mexico and Texas state bars. He is also licensed in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
