Raleigh S. Fohrman
Areas of Practice:
Ms. Fohrman practices in the areas of real estate and businesstransactions.
Ms. Fohrman has represented individuals, partnerships, limited
liability companies and corporations on a wide variety of real
estate and business matters. Ms. Fohrman has represented
many title insurance companies in California on complex transactions
and a variety of real estate development companies on residential,
commercial, industrial and golf course developments. Ms. Fohrman
lived abroad for a number of years and worked in Tokyo on real
estate finance transactions. In 2003 Ms. Fohrman returned to
California from Japan and resumed her California practice.
Representative Clients:
During her legal career, Ms. Fohrman has represented a variety
of companies, including: Chicago Title Insurance Company, Title
Insurance and Trust Company, Safeco Title Insurance Company,
Lawyers Title Insurance Company, the Voit Companies, Shurgin
Development Company and Woodhaven Developers. Ms. Fohrman is currently
active in representing companies and individuals on real estate development,
leasing and finance issues.
Experience:
Ms. Fohrman has practiced law since 1983 and she has represented
clients on a wide variety of real estate transactions.
Education and Memberships:
Ms. Fohrman received a bachelor’s degree in 1962 from the University of
California, Riverside, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1982 from the La Verne University.
Ms. Fohrman is the founder and former chair of the Title Insurance Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and served for several years as the editor of the California Real Property Journal (published by the California State Bar) Ms. Fohrman has served on the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women and the boards of a number of non- profit organizations.
